New services you might not have thought of.
As Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites are growing exponentially almost daily it seems, everyone is using them as a way to look into the lives of everyone else. Whether it be long lost friends, employers checking up on employees, or recruiters for colleges finding new students, everyone is catching up on your online life. We’ve all heard the stories of people who’ve been fired or rejected for something because the content on their supposedly private page is found by the people they might not have wanted looking at it.
As a business person, I have to be concerned with what image I put out amongst my friends, and the public, when it comes to the things I post on the internet. Or, more accurately, what I make sure not to post. Everyone who uses these social sites to connect, to network, to keep in contact, should really be trying to keep themselves from looking bad. Especially in these tough times where everyone and their brother is searching for a new job.
To that end, Wolves Hollow Designs & Photography is looking into providing social portrait packages. These portraits would be done specifically to present your best on sites like this, and elsewhere. We don’t have all the details yet, specifically about what’s included and the pricing. However, what would be included is the rights to use the portraits of you on sites like Facebook, to keep yourself looking professional and prepared. You can also use the images as an attachment with your resumes when looking for work. Having a professional image of yourself front and center shows that you care about how you present yourself and that you’re prepared to show your best to your potential employer, etc.
These would be similar, although not exactly the same, as a corporate photo shoot. We’d find a location or two (or three) and get several poses both serious and relaxed so you can post to your profiles. This gives you decent pictures of yourself to show off, without having to crop out that unwanted element from snapshots perhaps better left locked away.
We’ll have more permanent information about these social portrait packages on our website soon. If you’re interested and want more of an idea about the service or pricing, contact us at: info@wolveshollow.com with the subject Social Portrait Packages.
