We’ve decided to begin creating some products as part of the Designs section of WHD&P. We’re starting small, with a few handmade products. These will be available on a per order basis, and will probably require some time to complete, until we have a system in place and can build a stock of on hand pieces. Without further ado, the products.
Above, we have two monsters. They’re similar to others you’ve seen out there, but ours are hand made, and designed one of a kinds. Each one has it’s own style, name and personality. You, or your gift recipient, get to make it come to life. Right now, they’re generally running about seven to ten inches tall. You can order larger sizes, but smaller are almost impossible to put together right. Prices vary based on size and how intricate you want them put together. These are typical of how simply they’re made (we think it gives them individuality), but they can be more complex.
Here we have a utility scarf. These fashion accessories not only provide warmth, but have a couple of pockets that can hold things like your cell phone and your I.D. (or other cards) and include a key ring to clip your keys to. Sometimes you just don’t want to be hampered by stuff. This gives you a chance to carry only what you really need and keep your hands free. There are almost limitless fabric patterns that are available for that one of a kind, outfit or jacket matching look. The outside is cotton cloth, while the inside is warm snugly fleece. One size fits all.
Here’s our solution to your computer carrying needs, and we’re recycling to help our planet (or the overstock of sweat shirts at thrift stores). We’ll find a hooded sweatshirt and turn it into a carrying and protecting sleeve for your laptop. Graphic designs or plain, adorned or not, we like having a chance to make something that you can call your own. Customize it, put patches on it, add buttons or whatever. These are so one of a kind (unless we run across some rogue sweatshirt shipment) so no two will be alike. We use hoodies for their pockets, and we’re working on getting the design right to use the arms of the sweatshirts as carry straps. We’re also thinking of integrating the hood somehow, but we’re not sure how we’ll do that.
While these are the first of many we’d like to produce (they were gifts for family), we’re looking to gather together all the details for them, including pricing and sizes, and whatever else will be beneficial for you in deciding on purchasing them. We’ll get you all the info soon, so this is a teaser. But we’ll have it all up soon, I promise.
